Hillary Scholten has celebrated putting our Great Lakes at risk. Re-opening nuclear power plants on our lakeshore puts 21% of our world’s freshwater supply at risk. I support nuclear energy as a form of clean energy. However, warming 21% of the world’s freshwater supply is reckless.

I am the only candidate in my race to have started and operated an environmental non-profit.

I organized beach clean-ups that removed over 800 lbs of trash from Grand Haven, and Muskegon beaches. These efforts supported the tourism industry that our natural resources provide us with, and lead to these beaches being ranked among the top 10 beaches in Michigan.

I want to continue the fight against PFAS and forever chemicals against corporations that pollute our environment.

I am an outdoorsman and I have always been passionate about the environment and animals. I grew up as a sailor and earned my scuba diving certifications. I have sailed here and in Australia. I have scuba-dived with great white sharks in The Great Barrier Reef and schools of hammerheads in The Galapagos.

I was not afraid to be surrounded by 20+ full-grown hammerhead sharks and would not be scared to stand up for our planet in D.C.
