I support ranked choice voting, and if I were elected I would do all that I can to see this become our new system of voting.
Ranked choice voting would take away the discussion of “why would I vote for this candidate? They do not have a realistic chance of winning.” If you are unfamiliar with ranked choice voting, below is a link to an NPR article that does an excellent job of explaining.
I dislike our current political system that spends over $10B every Presidential election cycle turning Americans into red or blue voters. The reality is most Americans are near the middle. I believe a ranked choice voting system will allow for more non establishment candidates to contend.
